21 Days in a Row
So on May 9, 2021 I got my 21 days in a row badge. For some walking 10,000 steps per day for 21 days straight is nothing. For others it may seem impossible. Well I am 56 in average shape and for me this is a huge accomplishment. I am super proud of myself for sticking to the goal of accomplishing this challenge.
As I write this I am actually on day 25. As I briefly mentioned in my first post about the challenge I was well on my way to a million steps back in January at which time I got injured. I was already dealing with a blown out shoulder when I took a bad spill on an ice patch in which I ended up fracturing a couple of ribs. Very painful to say the least. I opted to heal at home as i already knew that going to the hospital wasn't going to help much. Sure they would offer me pain killers but for me, that just wasn't an option. Plenty of rest and eating healthy was the way to go for me. Dealing with the pain wasn't easy but you know the old saying what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger.
I will say that I learned a lot while I was recuperating and this time around I am meeting this challenge with a much different perspective and it feels awesome. In 24 days I have accumulated 296,295 steps. That is 56,295 steps ahead of my set goal of 10,000 steps per day. At this rate I could reach my goal of 1,000,000 steps before the 100 day mark I am pumped up and I really hope you will take the challange as well.
